Things continue to go well and I am amazed at how comfortable I feel. One of the things this 10 Day Transformation promises is that you will be able to break your addiction to processed foods and sugar. I really need that. During other cleanses, I start getting bored with the food and I start wanting other things to eat. Other than a desire for salt on Day 5 and beans and rice on Day 6, I have had no food cravings. I have a chocolate bar sitting on my desk that has gone untouched. Delicious dark chocolate infused with frankincense essential oil and I have no desire to eat it or even taste it.I have had some almonds or cashews each day, but that is allowed.
In four more days I will be done with the transformation and I have not been thinking about what I am going to eat for my first meal. In many ways, I am a little daunted by the fact that I will have to start ingesting food and cooking for myself. This is working so well and I feel so good, why should I bother with chewing?
One question that I am getting a lot is, “No food? Isn’t that hard? I do not think that I could do that.” No, it is easy! But, you are not alone, I said the same thing before I started. Some of us need that opportunity to chew and so flex foods are allowed/encouraged. Things like berries, an apple, watermelon, squash, kale, broccoli, etc. This is not about starving to lose weight. This is about resetting your body’s connection to food and nutrients. This is about being happy with what you eat and enjoying how you feel. I am so grateful that I have had this opportunity and even more grateful that I get to share it with all of you!
Purium is an opportunity to eat green foods that are certified non-gmo (genetically modified organism, or frankenfoods) and organic. You cannot get that stamp of approval just anywhere. I love farmers markets and am not speaking poorly of them. But even there, the food is not certified non-gmo.
