In the desert, water is precious. For most of the year it is dry and every plant and creature is thirsty. All of the native plants have adapted to hold on to the water. When the deluge comes, its seems as though every pore opens to receive. If you listen carefully enough, you will hear every plant and every creature sigh with joy. Having grown up in the desert, I am no exception. After the storm, you will find me walking in the rain cooled air, camera in hand, seeking those little moments of joy: rain drops on cactus, sun beams and flower petals. Enjoy this little piece of the Sonoran Desert.
